... Part of the final phase of the museum was the completion of the Hall of Steel: the creation of the largest traditional display of arms anywhere in the world. This massed display captures the feel of historic designs from the Tower of London and Hampton Court Palace. The Hall of Steel is a central feature of the Royal ArmouriesŐ Leeds museum: massed displays are viewed from a spiral walkway around the outside of an octagonal seven-storey column.
